The UMI 2255 replaces the factory upper strut mount on 2016-2024 Camaros. It adds both caster and camber adjustment to a platform that comes with almost none from the factory. Most aftermarket options only address camber. Getting caster into the equation changes how the front end feels at speed. It also improves stability under hard braking and through long sweepers.

UMI machined the 2255 from 2024-grade aluminum with 4140 steel at the high-load points. The bearings are spherical and pressed in with an interference fit. Hardened anodized aluminum and zinc-plated steel keep corrosion out. The adjustment indicators sit in plain view from the engine bay. You can make alignment changes with hand tools without pulling the wheels. At the track, that matters.

The stiffer spring rate pairs with the wide alignment range of the 2255 plates to support sticky tires and hard cornering loads. UMI says this kit can run on the street. It will ride noticeably firmer than the 1S. If your Camaro lives at the autocross course, that tradeoff is the right call.

Why The 6th Gen Camaro Needed This Suspension Upgrade

The 6th Gen Camaro is a capable platform from the factory. GM did solid work on the chassis. But the stock front suspension leaves alignment adjustment on the table. The factory strut mounts were not designed for back-to-back autocross runs or aggressive road course driving.
