House Of Boost Dyno Day: 964whp And A Crowd That Showed Up
House of Boost put on a dyno day and car show over the weekend, and the turnout said everything. Fifteen cars hit the rollers. The crowd was bigger than anyone on the organizing team expected. We can say from personal experience that Larry Hamilton and the House of Boost crew go above and beyond for the people in their corner. Because of that, seeing this event come together the way it did was no surprise. The mission they’re on to keep this hobby alive lines up directly with what we’re building at Car Junkie Magazine, and days like this one are exactly why that mission matters.

House Of Boost Dyno Day Results
Before the event, Larry Hamilton, from the House of Boost team, had his eye on two cars. “My money was on the LS turbo Fox or the silver turbo 3V,” he said. With fifteen cars on the sheet spanning Fox Bodies, modern Mustangs, GM iron, and a pair of trucks, there was plenty to watch. Here is how it broke down by platform.
Mustangs
The Mustang contingent owned the top of the sheet. Jason Doak brought the lime green 1983 Fox Body and put 964whp on the board, topping every car in the building. As a result, Hamilton’s pre-event instinct proved right. Matthew Schmitz followed at 797whp in his silver 2006 Mustang, earning Crowd Favorite honors in the process. The crowd made their opinion clear the moment that number came up on the screen.

From there, the modern Mustangs filled out the middle of the sheet in a tight cluster. Lonnie West put 734whp down in his black 2017 Mustang. Meanwhile, Danen Graham matched that energy with 730whp from his red and black 2013 GT500, and Rob Rayburn ran 730whp in his red 2019 Mustang. Three cars, four horsepower separating them, three completely different builds. Danial Stanley brought the newest car of the day, a green 2025 RTR, and posted 638whp. Shawn Conyers ran 613whp in his grey 2016 Mustang, while Van Burk rounded out the Mustang group at 600whp in his red 2016.
GM Powered Rides
The GM side of the House of Boost dyno day brought some of the most varied machinery on the property. Sean Byerley led the group with 644whp from his red 2017 Cadillac ATS-V. Drew Marwaha put 606whp down in his black 2016 Z06, while Coy Potts ran his red 2016 Z06 to 564whp. Same year, same platform, 42whp between them, and two very different build directions underneath. Because the Z06 responds so well to forced induction, that gap tells a story on its own.

Doug Doherty’s red-and-black 1971 Chevelle took Loudest Dyno at 432whp. If you were standing anywhere near that car on the rollers, you already know why. Karen Weil brought her lime green 2011 Camaro in at 419whp and took the Lowest Dyno award, with the crowd fully in her corner through every pull.
Trucks

The truck contingent was short on numbers but long on horsepower. Schylar Bates put 657whp down from his white 2022 F-150, a number that turned heads across the lot. Kristin Mandsager ran her black 2024 F-150 to 568whp. For reference, that makes it one of the newest cars at the event and one of the stronger builds on the property.
Why The House Of Boost Team Put It Together
“We wanted to do something cool and show our support for the people that support us each day,” Hamilton said. The crowd that showed up validated every bit of that thinking. “I was so in awe of all the people that showed up,” he added. Hamilton runs a shop because he loves the community around it, and since that’s been clear to us from personal experience, an event like this one comes as no surprise to anyone who knows how they operate.
Upcoming Events: Where To Find House Of Boost
A fall event is already in the conversation. Before that, the team is hosting KC Power Wheels: Red, White, and Zoom on June 20th. Out of town, they’ll be at Mustang Week Charlotte and MOD Nationals. If you haven’t crossed paths with the House of Boost crew yet, any of those stops will fix that.
