Mopar ’27 Dodge Charger: 270 Killer Cars For Mopar’s 90th Anniversary
Usually it’s the Corvette hogging the news feed. Every few weeks, Chevy drops another trim, another lap time, or another horsepower number, and folks are still talking about builds like the 8.1-liter big block C8 Corvette. Lately, though, Dodge has kept the good news coming. A Hellcat-powered Charger got previewed back in May, and now the Mopar ’27 Dodge Charger is here for the 90th anniversary with only 270 cars on the build sheet.
Stellantis announced the package on October 27, and the car debuts this week in Las Vegas. If you caught our coverage of the Dodge Charger Hellcat return, this is a different kind of car: a serialized Dodge Charger special edition that leaves the line already wearing Direct Connection parts.
What The ’27 Dodge Charger Package Includes
The ’27 Dodge Charger package costs $10,995 in the U.S., on top of a two-door 2027 Charger R/T or Charger Scat Pack Plus. That money buys a Direct Connection carbon-fiber front splitter, a carbon-fiber hood with a functional scoop, a carbon-fiber rear spoiler, and a Direct Connection cold-air intake. Unique graphics, a serialized under-hood plaque and a dash badge finish off the car.
Owners also get a certificate of authenticity with the car’s build number and a rendering from the Mopar design team, the kind of paperwork that ends up framed on the garage wall.
Two SIXPACK Choices, Including The Charger Scat Pack Plus
Both versions of the ’27 Dodge Charger run the 3.0-liter twin-turbo SIXPACK inline-six, the same engine family we covered in the 600 HP Charger Super Bee. All-wheel drive is standard, with an on-demand rear-drive mode for when you want to light up the tires. The R/T makes 420 hp, and Dodge quotes 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds with a 12.9-second quarter-mile.
The Charger Scat Pack Plus gets forged internals and bigger turbos for 550 hp, with Dodge saying it can do 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and a 12.2-second quarter. The full 2027 Dodge Charger press kit has the rest of the lineup specs.
Production is capped at 270 cars, with 90 each in Bludicrous, Diamond Black, and White Knuckle. The U.S. gets 243 of them, and Canada gets 27. Dealer orders open in early January 2027, and production starts in the spring.
How The 90th Anniversary Car Fits The Family Tree

Mopar dates back to 1937, and this is the fourth Charger to get the full treatment since 2011. It follows the ’11 Charger, the ’15 Charger R/T and the ’23 Challenger and Charger, which sent the HEMI-era cars out the door. The ’27 Dodge Charger is the first one built on the new Charger.
Darren Bradshaw, Stellantis senior vice president of parts and services for North America, said the car reflects “our passion for personalization and performance.”
Direct Connection also sells a cat-back exhaust (77073018AA), a spring kit (77073045AA) and 21×11-inch Brass Monkey wheels (77073039AA) separately through authorized Dodge performance dealers.
Where To See It In Las Vegas
The ’27 Dodge Charger makes its first public appearance at the Mopar NHRA Las Vegas Nationals, October 30 to November 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. From there, it heads to the SEMA Show, November 3 to 6, in Mopar booth 59119 in the West Hall. The Mopar display features two Ram 1500 Rumble Bee builds, three Jeep concepts, and Mark Worman’s supercharged 1969 Charger Daytona tribute. It’s a busy week for SEMA debuts, too, including the full carbon fiber Tricky F100.
With only 90 cars per color and orders opening in January, anyone hoping for a low serial number on a Bludicrous ’27 Dodge Charger should be talking to their dealer before the holidays. For more modern Mopar muscle, check out our look at the Copperhead Dodge SRT.
