AEV Lift Kit Turns Ford Super Duty Into The FXL Off-Road Monster
American Expedition Vehicles is bringing its proven off-road formula to Ford’s heavy-duty lineup with the new 2026 Super Duty FXL conversion. Built for owners who want real trail capability without giving up towing and payload strength, the package turns the F-250 and F-350 into purpose-built off-road machines. At the center of the build is the AEV lift kit, engineered to support massive tires while maintaining factory drivability and durability.
AEV Lift Kit Transforms The Super Duty Platform

The foundation of the FXL conversion is the AEV lift kit, which is designed around functionality rather than extreme ride height. Instead of stacking inches for looks, American Expedition Vehicles reworks suspension geometry, installs revised coil springs, and adds specially tuned Bilstein dampers. This approach allows the Super Duty to retain stable handling, predictable road manners, and usable towing and payload ratings, all while gaining serious off-road clearance.
40-Inch Tires Without Compromise

One of the most striking elements of the FXL package is the move to 40-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. Mounted on beadlock-capable 18-inch wheels, the tires are supported by AEV-specific fender flares that provide clearance without awkward proportions. The AEV lift kit plays a critical role here, allowing the truck to run oversized rubber without excessive suspension height or driveline stress.
Heavy-Duty Steel Armor And Recovery Gear
The FXL-spec Super Duty receives front and rear steel bumpers designed for hard use. Up front, the bumper integrates a winch rated for up to 20,000 pounds, multiple recovery points, and mounting provisions for auxiliary lighting. AEV has ensured factory sensors remain functional so driver-assistance systems continue to operate normally. The rear bumper adds additional recovery points, improved departure angle, and reinforced corner protection for navigating tight, rocky terrain.

Availability, Warranty, And What Comes Next
The AEV lift kit and full FXL conversion are available for both the Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty. Official pricing has not been announced, but expectations put the starting cost around $10,000. Like other AEV conversions, the FXL package is backed by a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty. The Ford Super Duty FXL is scheduled to appear publicly at the 2026 Detroit Auto Show, where enthusiasts will get a closer look at Ford’s most serious off-road Super Duty yet.
